Family Bible of Orson Holland Morrow covers dates 1774-1937. He had eight daughters.

The bible was filmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah in 1995 (vault film #1750784 Item #17). Notes: Bible records of Orson Holland Morrow 1800-1868 who married Sally Hambright 1803-1868 Orson H. Morrow was the son of Jesse Morrow and Polly Holland. Records include handwritten pages of the ancestry of Mary Evelyn Akin Mooneyhan going back to Co. Frederick Hambright born 1744, who was an officer in the French and Indian Wars, and fought in 1779 at Charleston in Lillington's Brigade. He was wounded at the Battle of King's Mountain. He was a native of North Carolina. James Morrow born 1744 was a private in the North Carolina Militia. Benjamin F. Lovelace and Margaret Rebecca McClanahan born 1849 were the paternal grandparents of Arlene Lovelace Butler.

An article that came from the History of Simpson County, KY says: Rev. Orson H. Morrow was born in Rutherford County,N.C, November 10, 1800 and is the oldest of seven children born to Jesse and Polley Holland Morrow the former was a native of Orange and the latter of Rutherford County, NC both of Irish descent. When only a lad of some 10 or 12 years Jesse Morrow moved with his parents to Rutherford, NC where his early education was received. There afterward he married and engaged in Agricultural pursuits until February 1808 when he moved to Cumberland County, KY. In early life Jesse learned the blacksmiths trade, with his father and continued to follow the same in connection with farming for many years.

Served as a captain in the state militia. Served as an ordained Baptist minister for over 50 years, was a surveyor and farmed.
