BIOGRAPHY: Lola Celia (KNIGHT) GURLEY letter to Harold S. Knight dated Jan. 29, 1944 Text: "Oliva, was your grandfather's first wife. She was Oliva Guild. She died leaving two little girls, Hattie and Gettie. Hattie was adopted by her mother's brother, Lurell Guild. She died when she was 16. Gettie was adopted by a family named Hill, and lived in Pompey Hollow, between Oran and Delphi. She married Robert Benedict and had two sons, Lewis and Robert. Gettie has visited in Rochester, and so has her son Robert. I think Lewis and his wife Annabelle, have been there, too. I'm sure your mother will remember them. Gettie died 8 years ago. Her son Robert died this winter just a few days before Christmas."
