Mrs. Olive R. Garber, 89, 62-year church member
Mrs. Olive R. Garber, 89, formerly of Dickey Avenue, N.W., died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday in Community Skilled Nursing Centre.
She was born here Feb. 3, 1895, the daughter of John and Nellie Saunders Latimer.
On June 20, 1922, she married Pearl Elias Garber, who died March 16, 1962.
Mrs. Garber was a 62-year member of Second Christian Church, where she was a member of Evergreen Club and Tower Class, and Rebekah Lodge 453.
She had enjoyed babysitting for 25 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Irene) Brooks, and a son, Roger, of Warren; a grandson, and a great-grandson. A grandson, two sisters, Luella Vail and Mabel Latimer, and three brothers, Raymond, David and Clyde Latimer, preceded her in death.
