NORWOOD McMORRIS
Services for Norwood McMorris, 90, of Copperas Cove will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove with a visitation one hour prior to service. Dr. Mark Bushor will officiate. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Mr. McMorris passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in a Temple hospital.
Norwood was born June 7, 1920 in Livingston, LA. He served during World War II with the Marines and the Army and then worked in the Civil Service, from which he retired. Norwood was a long time member of Central Christian Church of Killen, TX.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Velma Nancy McMorris, a step-son, Gary Baty of Copperas Cove and a grandson Clayton Baty, of Copperas Cove.
His is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Nell Ballard McMorris; three step-sons Charles Baty of Austin, Sam Baty of Lampasas, and Steve Baty of Lampasas; and by five grandchildren, David Baty, Clinton Baty, Ellis Baty, Christopher Baty, and Ashley Baty.
