Obituary NORMA JEAN FETTIG, 64 Norma Jean Fettig, 64, of Petoskey died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at McLaren Northern Michigan. Norma was born Aug. 19, 1950, in Petoskey, the daughter of Walter and Edna (Kent) Brennamen, and was raised in Petoskey, graduating from Petoskey High School. On June 27, 1970, Norma married Robert Fettig and together they made their home in Petoskey. Norma was not only a mom to her five children, but a mom to all their friends as well. She loved being with her children and grandchildren and was always active in the kid's 4-H projects. She loved the farm life, gardening and cooking, but her greatest love was being with her family and cherished having all the family up for Sunday brunches. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church. Norma is survived by her husband, Robert; five children, Bronson Fettig of Petoskey, Robert Fettig Jr. of Petoskey, Angela (Dave) Holmes of Petoskey, Donna (Andrew) Distel of Arcadia, Ohio, and Jason Fettig of Petoskey; 12 grandchildren, Chase, Cora, And Charlize Distel, Alexa and Lucas Holmes, Ashlee, Katelynn, and Nevaeh Fettig, Kaldence and Kinleigh Fettig, Hannah French, and River Fettig; brother, Lianel (Ellen) Skinner; and sister-in-law, Fran Skinner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna Brennamen; and by three brothers, Irving Skinner, Delbert Skinner and Wilbur Skinner. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at the church with the Rev. Bryan Medlin officiating. Donations in Norma's memory are asked to be directed to the Autoimmunity Research Foundation, 3423 Hill Canyon Ave., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.
