Noel Wardwell, age 71, of Galena, OH, Wednesday, June 8, 2005. Born in India on February 1, 1934 of Missionary Parents, Drs. Wayne and Frances Wardwell. He moved to Columbus for the 8th grade. After graduating from Columbus North High School in 1951. He joined the Air Force. He graduated from Air Force Officer's Training School which was the predecessor of the Air Force Academy and became a member of the Flying Tigers. After leaving the Air Force, he was an early pioneer in data processing. He proudly received a BA and MBA from The Ohio State University. Member of Masonic Blue Lodge, Central Ohio Soaring Assn and the Westerville Model Aeronautics Assn. He loved Sailing, traveling to exotic places, scuba diving and flying glider airplanes. He loved a lifetime of dogs and two special cats. Survived by wife, Mary Gene Wardwell; children, Polly (Mike) Searfos, Abbie (Fred) Meyer, Noel (Blair) Wardwell, Jr., Debbie (Joe) Ongrassia and Jennie (Ronan Simier) Risch; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Benjamin Seafos, Madeline and Sharah Meyer, Kate Wardwell, JJ and Jennie Ingrassia; brother, Rev. Wayne (Naomi) Wardwell; twin sister, Nellie (George) Fraley; sister, Ruth (Pete) Hanges; first wife, Nancy S. Wardwell; cousin, Dot Moore; dear friends, Art and Janet Hergatt; dogs, Buster and Mixer; cats, Lucky and Sammy. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy M. Wardwell, daughter Wendy Marie. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Service will be held at Central College Presbyterian Church Chapel, 975 S. Sunbury Road, Westerville, Tuesday at 3 p.m. Dr. Richard Ellsworth, officiating. Private interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
