1880 Federal Census--Paulding Co., OH Noah Ely59 Julia A54 Emma A16 Emma J29.? Possibly Lorenzo married Emma J. and had a son, Lorenzo B.30? George and they all lived with Noah. Lorenzo is George M. 2? only son of Noah and Julie Ann.

Note: The census records and the children and their birth dates do not match.

Mr. Ely was elected county surveyor in 1851 and served 14 years. Was Justice of the Peace from 1858. There were but few settlers in the Township when he came. It was almost an unbroken wilderness. White men were scarce. Mr. Ely is a farmer and surveyor in Carryall Township.
