Her granddaughter, Ruth Breidenbaugh remembered: “We visited Grandma and Grandpa Trembley regularly. Grandma was very strict and kept a very neat house. She never wore black. She would say, ‘Black is for old people.’ She liked pink and red. She went to the beauty parlor and would rather be caught dead than out of style.”
