Possible Lead
A search in earlier census records for Nicholas Croxton born about 1858, with brothers Robert and John, yields Nicholas Crookston, born in Utah about 1857 (1860 census). However, there is no Martha in this family (1860-1880 censuses), so this might not be the right family.
