In the Cronbaugh family history are several references to Nicholas Cronbaugh of Pennsylvania. The most interesting is his will, on page 4, written on 23rd day of March 1839. Also on page 2 is a legal paper of Elizabeth Cronbaugh widow of Eli Cronbaugh assigning property to Nicholas Cronbaugh. On page 3 is also a legal doucument from Abrham Holm which indicates that he married Elizabeth Cronbaugh.

Indications in the Cronbaugh family history page 13 are that the Cronbaugh's originated in Holland and then immigrated to Pennsylyania and then to Ohio, then to Iowa. Page 1 indicates tht several Cronbaugh's, various spellings, came to the United States from Rotterdam on 2 ships.
