Information on Chesley Coffey

- Among those who migrated to Kentucky was Chesley Coffey who m. Jane Cleveland. The had six children: Joel Coffey (1740-1789) m. Martha Step (b. 1745); Salathiel Coffey (1750-1789), m. Elizabeth; Chesley Coffey, Jr. (1755-1818) m. Margaret Baldwin; Nebuzaraden Coffey (1757-1797) m. Elizabeth Hays; Mary Coffey (1758-1843) m. John Gilbreath; and Nathan Coffey (1760-1823) m. Mary Saunders.
- Nebuzaraden Coffey and his wife Elizabeth had 11 children: Sary Coffey m. James Coffey; Polly Coffey m. Jo. Millian; Fleiding Coffey m. Celia Coffey; Betsy Coffey m. James Lester; Ruth Coffey m. Andrew Moody; Sail Coffey m. Ann Lynch; Ananias Coffey (1785-1828) m. Jane Hindman; Joel Coffey m. Jennie Coffey; Hays Coffey (1793-1860) m. Mary Burkette (1798-1860); and Louis Coffey (b. 1783) m. Cassey Coffey (b. 1798).
Moved to Madison Co Ky about 1794. By 1801 his family joined other relatives in Adair Co. Other possible children are Louis and James.
