Among those who migrated to Kentucky was Chesley Coffey who m. Jane Cleveland. The had six children: Joel Coffey (1740-1789) m. Martha Step (b. 1745); Salathiel Coffey (1750-1789), m. Elizabeth; Chesley Coffey, Jr. (1755-1818) m. Margaret Baldwin; Nebuzaraden Coffey (1757-1797) m. Elizabeth Hays; Mary Coffey (1758-1843) m. John Gilbreath; and Nathan Coffey (1760-1823) m. Mary Saunders. (Note: it is probable that Joel Coffey was born a few years later than 1740, since it is unlikely there was a 10-year gap between the first and second children).
