↑ The various Morse Genealogies (Source:Morse, Abner. Memorial of the Morses, p. 4; Source:Morse, J. Howard. Morse Genealogy : Comprising the Descendants of Samuel, Anthony, William and Joseph Morse and John Moss : Being a Revision of the, p. 29) identify Nathaniel as the man who married Boston 1710 Sarah Draper. This seems unlikely as Ezra's probate is divided between 4 sons with no mention of Nathaniel in 1700. It appears this Nathaniel died young and the Nathaniel of Boston was from a different family.

It is interesting to note that most silversmithing surveys found online (e.g., here) list the Nathaniel of Boston as born circa 1685. The age at death that goes with his 1748 death hasn't been located, and the basis for the 1685 estimate is unknown.
