Redding Record Searchlight (CA) - April 21, 1992 Deceased Name: Nathaniel McTucker Graveside services for Nathaniel J. McTucker Sr., 70, of Redding will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Redding. The Rev. Liam MacCarthy of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Redding will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald's Redding Chapel. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Mr. McTucker died Monday, April 20, 1992, at his residence. Born June 30, 1921, in Portland, Ore., he moved to Shasta County in 1954 from Lewiston, Mont. He was a teacher at Shasta High School. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and a member of Redding Moose Lodge No. 1006, Redding Elks Lodge No. 1073, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, National Teachers Association, California Teachers Association and University of Montana Alumni. He is survived by wife Mary; sons Nat of Redding and Niles of Dixon, Mont.; daughters Mariss of Dixon; Laurida of Ventura and Natalie of Los Osos; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
