She was born April 9, 1901, in Frenchtown, the seventh child of the pioneer Jules Trahan family. She was educated in Frenchtown, Ronan and St. Ignatius schools and in 1918 was a member of the first class to be graduated from St. Ignatius high school She married Nat C. McTucker in 1920. They lived in Portland and Salem, Ore., wher Mr. McTucker was employed. They returned to Dixon in 1926 and operated McTucker’s garage until 1945. They drove school buses for the Dixon School district for many years. Her husband preceded her in death. She has been a correspondent for The Missoulan, reporting Dixon news. she belonged to the Reservation Pioneer Society and was a charter member and active participant in the Dixon Women’s Club from 1925 to 1958. At the age of 60, she obtained a degree in education from the University of Montana at Missoula and later taught school at Warren school, Helena, Trego, East Helena, East Glacier and Browning. She retired from teaching June 4, 1971. She is survived by her son, Nat. J. McTucker, Calif.; a brother, Gaspard Trahan, Helena; two sisters, Regina Deliwo, Ronan and Yvonne Painter, Castle Rock, Wash.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Ignatius Catholic Church with the Rev. I. Dembeck, S. J., officiating. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Fearon Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. References
