Daniel Malone is found in early Prince George County records of this generation also, and is the earliest
Malone to show land ownership. This comes from an English document, the Quit Rent rolls, which records
Daniel Malone as being taxed for 100 acres in Prince George Co. in 1704. [24, 30] Although the exact
location of this land is unknown, we do know that Malones were living on the south side of the James River
in the area which became Prince George Co. about 1700. [98, 9b p 271] How long this 100 acres had
belonged to Daniel Malone is unclear. He was involved in dealings with such men as “Col. Bolling, Col.
Hardyman, and Maj. Wynn”, among others. [97] He was married to Susan _ _ _ _ , who married, probably
shortly after his death about 1713 to _ _ _ _ Floraday. [97] He is shown in Prince George Co. in a record
listing his debts in Feb., 1713. The list was submitted by “Susan Floraday, relict of Daniell Mallone,
dec’d.” [97] Because of his death date and close association with Maj. Wynne, and others, he might have
been a son of the progenitor Daniel Malone 1-1.
