Nathaniel Brittain served as a private in Captain Jonathon Clark's Company, Eigth Virginia Regiment, commanded by Absolum Bowman. He enlisted March 4, 1776 and died October 17, 1776 while in active service in the Revolutionary War. Record found in Family Bible of William and Louise Brittain Spencer of Jackson, Kentucky and also found in Family Bible of David Y. Lyttle and Drucella Brittain Lyttle of Manchester, Kentucky. Both indicated that Nathaniel Brittain was born before 1740 and died October 17, 1776 and married Elizabeth Parks. |
