    14 Oct 1869, p2 - The Wayne County Fair of 1869 ... Toe Mowers and Reapers were represented by the "Champion" of Springfield, Ohio, Nathan Stonecipher, agent;

    14 Sep 1871, p3 - Quite a serious accident happened to Nathan Stonecipher, Monday. It seems that he was going from town to his home, on horseback, a nd meeting some one in a buggy he wished to talk to, the two engaged in conversation, when the horse attached t the buggy began kicking, and before Mr. Stonecipher could get out of the way, he was thrown from his horse, his left arm broken in two places. He was taken to his home in quite a serious condition.

    9 Sep 1875, p 3 - A fracas occurred between Nathan Stonecipher and Wm Mason and his two sons, near Mason's house, about 4 miles north of this place, last Saturday. Stonecipher, in the fight, was knocked down with stones and two of his ribs broken. After the affray, Mr. Mason had an affidavit filed against himself before a Justice in Hagerstown and was fined. A suit is now pending before Esq. Mallory on charge of assault and battery, set for next Saturday, and a civil suit for damages is also imminent.

    16 Sep 1875, p3 - Mr. Wm. Mason called a few days since to say that our informant in the Stonecipher was incorrect. He ways his two sons had nothing to do with the row. The positive facts in the case are not of vital importance, but we hope to be able to give them after the trial.

    11 Sep 1884, p3 - We regret to learn that our old friend, Nathan Stonecipher, of Home, East Tennessee, is still confined to his bed, and a great sufferer with rheumatism.

    26 Sep 1895, p3 - Nathan Stonecipher, an old time resident of this vicinity, until a few years ago, died at the home of hsi son-in-law, Eli Hardman, on Monday. He had been living in Tennessee, and a short time ago he lost his mind and failed very rapidly. His funeral took place on Tuesday at the Dunkard church, near Hagerstown.

    11 May 1916, p2 - Men Who Did Things. On May 28, 1853, in the Humbert school house just 3 miles north of the northwest corner of Cambridge City corporation, a small body of pioneers met to consider the proposition of building a branch turnpike from Kiplinger's mill (Creitz's later) to the town of Dalton in the northwestern corner of Wayne county. At this meeting A.W. Bay (Squire Ray) of Cambridge City presided and Wm. J. Mason, father of M.E. Mason and Preston Mason, was secretary. Much interest was manifested and a call was issued for another meeting on June 11, at which meeting the following directors were elected: L.B. Morrison, a prominent business man of Cambridge City, Daniel Hardman, father of Benj. F. Hardman, Nathan Stonecipher, father of Alex. Stonecipher of Hagerstown, David Dilling, senior partner with John Lutz as crocers in Cambridge City, Wm. Brumback of Hagerstown and Wm. J. Mason. ...
