In the 1870 US census, the Jane Seaver family resided in Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island. The household included Jane Seaver (age 28, dress maker, born RI), Nathan A. Seaver (age 27, works in a cotton mill, born CT), George F. Seaver (age 3, born RI) and Delia A. Mowrey (age 55, keeping house, $275 in personal property, born RI). [LDS Microfilm 0,552,976, page 602, dwelling #273, family #401]. In the 1900 US Census, Nathan A. Seaver (head, white, male, born June 1843, age 56, married 25 years, born CT, parents born MA, a laborer at a cotton mill, rents a house) resided in Brooklyn, Windham County, Connecticut with his wife Nellie Seaver (white, female, born Feb 1858, age 42, married 25 years, 2 children born, 2 living, born CT, parents born RI) and daughter Lucy M. Seaver (white, female, born April 1876, age 24, single, born RI, parents born CT, a music teacher) [National Archives Microfilm Series T623, Roll 151, Page 35, ED 510, Sheet 20, Line 63]. In the 1910 US Census, the remnant of this family resided at 189 South Main Street in the First Ward of Putnam, Windham County, Connecticut. The household included head Frederick N. Flagg (white, age 36, first marriage, married 8 years, born CT, parents born English Canada, salesman, works in a hardware store), wife Lucy M. Flagg (white, age 34, first marriage, married 8 years, born RI, father born MA, mother born CT), son Nelson Flagg (white, age 1, single, born CT, father born RI, mother born CT), and mother-in-law Mrs. Nellie Seaver (white, age 54, first marriage, married 36 years, born CT, parents born English Canada) [NARA Microfilm T624, Roll 144, ED 581, sheet 1A, page 99, dwelling #14, family #14]. OTHER RESEARCHERS: Linda Stetson (email address rss@@ime.net, received 2 May 2000) provided the obituary excerpt below: "Nathan A. Seaver, who died in Putnam, CT, November 15, 1901, was born in Thompson, CT in 1843. He was the son of George and Emily Chamberlain Seaver. He was of Revolutionary stock, his grandfather William Seaver having served in that war, coming to Thompson in the first quarter of the 19th century from Sheurburg, MA." Linda noted that "The gentleman who wrote the obit was a George Dexter, who provided lots of Chamberlain and some Seaver info to make Nathan's daughter, Lucy Seaver Flagg (my grandmother) eligible to join the DAR.
