Nathan3 Hoyt, b. March 24, 1691; m. by his father to Mary Finch, June 3, 1714; lived in Stamford; d. about 1772. His ear-mark was ent. at S., Jan., 1710-11. His father gave him land in S., Aug., 1713. There are on record at S. several deeds between Nathan Hait of S. and his brothers Joseph, Jonathan, and John, and others, from 1720 to March, 1748-9. He was a memb. Stamf. chh. in 1746. He probably lived in Danbury in 1749, as we find that "Nathan Hait late of S. now of Danbury" gives to his son Nathan Hait "now of S." house and land on the west side of Noroton River, "where my son now liveth," Feb. 21, 1749-50. He must have soon returned to Stamford, however, as we find his residence given as S. in seven deeds to his three sons, 1751-69, and in other deeds. Adm. est. granted son Sam. April 12, 1772.
