She was born about 1827 in presumably Coventry, Kent County, R.I. She married first before 1850 George Nelson Young (born about August 1821; died December 16, 1866 in Greenville (Smithfield), Providence County, R.I.). She had two children with George N. Young: Melissa Louise Young (born about February 6, 1850, died October 27, 1865) and Junia Young (born February 3, 1856 ; died October 9, 1889). She married second on December 25, 1867 in Providence, R.I. Amasa Hammond (born Abt. March 1846; died September 2, 1898). She had no children with Amasa. Nancy H. Knight died March 14, 1909 in Smithfield, Providence County, R.I.
