NORTON, Nancy Ann (Butcher) - Of Flushing, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:30AM Friday, April 20, 2007 at Rossell Funeral Home. R. Raymond Rossell will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9PM Thursday. A Ladies Oriental Shrine Service will be held under the auspices of El Said Court #28 at 7PM Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to El Said Court #28 or Flushing Area Historical Society. Nancy was born in Flint, MI October 3, 1929, the daughter of George W. and Helen (Plaisted) Butcher. She married Harold Norton in Ann Arbor, MI on December 17, 1949. Nancy graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1947. She was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the PTA of Flushing. Nancy was a member and past officer of the Flushing Area Historical Society. She was a member of the Antique Club and the Ladies Oriental Shrine, El Said Court #28. Nancy was also an avid seamstress. Surviving are: husband of 57 fabulous years, Harold Norton of Flushing; children and grandchildren, Robert and wife Sharon Norton and son Michael of Camano Island, WA, David and wife Agnes and sons Andrew and Edward of Rossford, OH, Susan and husband Roger Gluckin and daughters Elizabeth and Sarah of Solon, OH; brother, John Butcher of Flushing; sister, Beverly and husband Stuart Fitzpatrick of Saratoga, CA; brother-in-law, Gerald Norton of Henderson, NV; sister-in-law, Betty Miatech of Ann Arbor; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Larry Butcher.
