NORTON, Harold E. - Of Flushing, age 79, died Saturday, January 12, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Rossell Funeral Home. R. Raymond Rossell will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4PM and 6-8PM Wednesday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home under the auspices of the Flushing Masonic Lodge #223, F.&A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elf Khurafeh Shrine or the Flushing Area Historical Society. Harold was born April 4, 1928 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Hoyt Ernest and Delphia Mae (Wilt) Norton. He married Nancy Butcher in Ann Arbor, MI on December 17, 1949. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2007. Harold graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1947. He retired from GM Grand Blanc in 1987 as a tool & die supervisor. He was a life member of the Flushing Historical Society and the Flushing Masonic Lodge #223, F.&A.M. He was a life member and past president of the Oasis Shrine Club. He was a life member of Circus Park Shrine Club, Fenton Shrine Club, and Davison Shrine Club. Harold was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters and the Valley of Bay City Consistory. Surviving are: his children and grandchildren, Robert and wife Sharon Norton and son Michael of Camano Island, WA, David and wife Agnes Norton and sons Andrew and Edward of Solon, OH, Susan and husband Roger Gluckin and daughters Elizabeth and Sarah of Rossford, OH; brother, Gerald and wife Myrtle Norton of Henderson, NV; sister, Betty Miatech of Ann Arbor; brother-in-law, John Butcher of Flushing; sister-in-law, Beverly and husband Stuart Fitzpatrick of Saratoga, CA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest.
