INFORMATION TAKEN FROM THE TEXAS DEATH CERTIFICATE Myrtle Allen Bassel passed away September 18, 1961, at the Brenham Rest Home, in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, where she had resided for three years. Cause of death was myocarditic failure. She was a widow of 74 years of age, and had formerly resided at 416 E. 13th, in Belton, Bell County, Texas. Myrtle was born November 24, 1886 in Belton, to Ben F. Allen and Blanche L. Robinson. Her son, J.D. Bassel, provided the information. Burial took place in the North Belton Cemetery in Belton, Bell County, Texas, on September 18, 1961. Edward Pace was the funeral director in charge.
