I have a little info on your William White. Please be aware that it's not verified, so you will have to check further for documentation. I think your William White was the son of Moses White, Jr. and Mary (McConnel)White. The father of Moses White, Jr. was Moses White who came to America from North Ireland about 1740, setting first in Pennsylvania. He married Mary Campbell, the sister of John Campbell. Moses White, Jr. settled with his father in Rowan Co., N.C., about 1742. Mary McConnel was the first wife of Moses White, Jr.; his second wife was Eleanor _____, who survived him. The will of Moses White,Jr. was proved in Rowan Co., N.C., 14 June, 1783. The will mentions David White, William White, John White, James White, Jean White(m. Templeton), Elizabeth White (m. Peden), Mary White (m. McCree), Sara White(m. Wilson), Penelope White, Eleanor White, Margaret White. [From WILLIAM & MARY QUARTERLY, Vo. 25, p. 183]
