Information on Moses Shepherd

Moses Shepherd was born November 11, 1763 in Mecklenburg, Frederick County (later Berkeley County), Virginia (now Shepherdstown, Jefferson County, West Virginia), and died April 29, 1832 at the age of 68 in Wheeling, Ohio County, Virginia (now the Elm Grove area of Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia). He was the son of David Shepherd (died 1795) and Rachel (née Teague) Shepherd (died 1795). He married Lydia Boggs in 1784. The siblings of Moses Shepherd were as follows: William Shepherd (1753 - 1777), who married Rebecca McConnell; Elizabeth Shepherd (1755 - 1831), who married 1) William McIntire and 2) John Lee; Ruth Shepherd (1757 - 1846), who married John Mills; and Sarah Shepherd (1759 - 1832), who married 1) Francis Duke and 2) Levi Springer.
