One of the missionaries, Rev. Moses Perry, married a clever and pious Choctaw woman this year and voluntarily fixed his destiny and that of his posterity with the Nation. He had great influence as a preacher among the Indians. He was adopted as one of the tribe, removed with them to their wilderness home in the West, and has ever since remained among them, a pious and useful minister.
