Moses reputed to be the first white child born in Falmouth, was a man of
note in his day. He was admitted to the Barnstable church June 19, 1698.
He and wife Elizabeth dismissed to the Falmouth church, of which he became
a leading member and the first deacon. He was a wealthy farmer, a man of
good business capacity and a good citizen. He have to the town the land
on which the first church was built, now a public square.
Pack - Moses was a Deacon of the Falmouth church. He gave the town the
land upon which the first church was built. The Park is now the site
occupied by this church. He was an active townsman filling many offices.
He was Selectman in 1713. In 1730 he was chosen Town Clerk, in 1733 Town
agent and Juryman to High Court, and it was frequently his province to
settle bounds and lay out lots. In 1724 he was chosen Town Treasurer
He left a will in which he names his wife Patience and child Moses,
children of his daughter, Elizabeth Hallett, and grand children, Nathan
Skiff, Rebecca Lewis, Jr., Benjamin Nye, John Coffin, Sylvanus Hatch,
Moses Hatch and Deliverance Hatch, Moses Hatch, Sr. had nine children
five daughter, four of whom reached maturity and married. His sons with
the exception of Moses died young. Moses Hatch's son and namesake, Moses,
Jr., baptized at Barnstable, 3 July 1698

Listed in Barnstable article but Savage says the last four children were born at Yarmouth then goes on to say that Moses was born at Falmouth but gives date of 1665.

Eng. may have been at Salem 1640, m. 11 Apr. 1646, Sarah Rowley, had Mary, b. 14 July 1648; Thomas, 1 Jan. 1650; Jonathan, 17 May 1652; Joseph, 7 Mar. 1654; Benjamin, 7 Sept. 1655; Nathaniel, 5 June 1657; Samuel, 11 Oct. 1659; Moses, 4 Mar. 1662, or 7 Mar. 1663; and Sarah, 21 or 23 Mar. 1665; Mark, 27 Apr. 1667; and Lydia, 16 May 1669, the last four at Yarmouth.
