                                        MORRIS KANE, 78, FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE FRIDAY

Morris Kane, 78, retired farmer, brother of Mrs. Mabelle Eastburn of Watseka, died Wednesday morning at the Ellen Walt Hotel where he had resided for the past year. He suffered from a heart ailment. Mr. Kane was born May 25, 1875 near Iroquois, the son of Morris and Cassa died une [sic] 14, 1953 at Kendallville, Ind. Surviving are two sons, Vernon of Kendallville and Donald of Kankakee; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Davis, Albion, Ind., Mrs. Bernice Bvier [Bevier]. Willard O[hio]; two sisters, Mrs. Eastburn and Mrs. Milo Reade [actually a daughter.] Several neices and nephews, 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Segur funeral home. The Rt. Rev. Msg. E.A. Sweeney will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Dell Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday."
