Wardwell Family Cemetery (Town of Ledyard) #97 Located about 1200 feet north of the road on the Harold Giles Farm. Plot is 30' x 30' , enclosed by a woven wire fence in good condition. There is no gate in the fence , which is supported by eight limestone posts , said to be mowed once a year by someone from Auburn. A large monument 8' tall has the following inscriptions: WARDWELL , DAVID T. D. JUNE 22, 1859 72Y-9M-18D WARDWELL , DELILAHD. SEPT. 16, 1836 52Y-2M-8D WARDWELL , MORGAN G.D.
