Her name is given as Molly at birth and Mary at death. Lorna Spencer, Curator at the Cattaraugus Counyt Historical Museum, when she reported the death date, noted that Molly was often used for Mary. 

    Jefferson St. Cemetery Records, Ellicottville NY, copied by Lois Sigglekow, Town Historian, Ellicottville NY 14731: "Mary, wife of Ensign Litchfield, Died May 24, 1858 aged 77 yrs 8 mo 13 days.  Buried in the Jefferson St. cemetery."
