Miriam R. Benner

Miriam R. Benner, 100, passed into eternal life, July 24, 2024.
She retired from Associates Financial Services after 27 years. With her husband, Richard of 56 years, they enjoyed many adventures both in the air and on the water. They were pilots in the civil air patrol and enjoyed time on their boat, "the Marakibo" on Lake Erie. At home she loved gardening, ceramics, made beautiful counted cross stitch, and was a talented seamstress, Hummel Collector and avid bridge player. In the community, she was a long time member of Northview Christian Church, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and active in business and professional womens associations. She was a proud Veteran of WW2 US Army Air Transport Command. Miriam was devoted to her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Richard Benner; daughter, Jonnie Wallis Halberstadt; parents, Blaine and Mable Heise; siblings, James Heise, Mary Helen Ginn, Marjorie Thomas and John Heise. Miriam will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Diana Priest; grandchildren, Richard (Karen) Wallis, Mark Wallis, James (Michelle) Priest, Chris (Natalie) Priest, Becky Blanton and Cathy Hardwick; great grandchildren, Shaun, Danielle, Emily, Henry and Miller; great great-grandchildren, Peyton, Joey, Blake and Leo.
Services are 1pm Wednesday July 31, 2024 at Conkle Funeral Home Avon with Visitation 11am-1pm before the Service. Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
