Miranda/Rene/Aunt MAC was a sweet loving and cherished member of the family. She worked as a nurse and raised her niece Mary Louise Bartee. She was an excellent cook and loved to sew. She was courageous and stately and managed her home as a boarding house. One of the boarders Captain Washington Jefferson Frisbee helped her raise Mary Louise because of a promise he made to my great grandmother. While living at the home as a boarder he met Cecelia Cleveland Bartee a young widow and they were engaged to be married when she contracted tuberculosis and died at the Hygeia Sanitarium of Citronelle, Alabama - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Klebs.
