In later research it has been found Roland is the father of Milton Brown. Later Roland moved to Platte County Missouri and became a Judge there. Milton had two sisters, Nancy and Suzannah who married Martin brothers. Suzannah married Zadock Martin who also came to Oregon about the same time as Milton and his family. Nancy was married to Joseph Martin. Zadock and Joseph were both known to lead a wagon trains to Oregon.

  12. Milton Brown and family moved from Missouri to Oregon between 1846 and 1849.

Thomas Jefferson Brown was born in Platte County, Missouri in October 1846. The family would not have made the trek to Oregon that winter. George W Brown was born in Oregon 1849. My own assumption is that they left Missouri in the spring of 1847 or the spring of 1848. I have not been able to find documentation that they were on an official wagon train as many families came to Oregon on their own.

A donation land claim in Clackamas County Oregon was recorded for Milton Brown in 1849.
