Family:Milton Brown and Christiana Farris (1)

Parents of Milton Brown came across the Cumberland Gap in the early 1800's from Virginia to Kentucky. There are 2 Brown families listed in Knox County Kentucky in the 1820 census: Roland Brown and Henry Brown (unknown as to which family might be associated with ours)

Further investigation by Grayson Alexander it seems that Roland Brown is the father of Milton Brown. Roland had a sister, Susannah who Zadock Martin who came to Oregon in 1845 or 1846 and it looks like Milton came with them. Many of the Martin family arrived in Oregon in 1846 or thereabouts. Milton may have came to Oregon in 1846 and went back to get his family the next year.
