OCCUPATION: RR Mechanic. DEATH: Ashtabula Star Beacon obituary, Milo A. Austin, COUNTY WEIGHT SEALER IS DEAD, GENEVA, OHIO, JULY 9, 1927. "July 9 Milo A. Austin, county sealer of weights and measures, died at his home here late Friday afternoon following a brief illness. Heart disease caused death. During the forenoon Friday his condition showed improvement, but later in the day an unexpected relapse caused his death. Mr. Austin was born on the Austin Road near Geneva July 12, 1853 and spent his entire life in Geneva. He was prominently connected with many organizations. He was a member of the official board of the Methodist Episcopal church. For 14 years he was superintendent of the Sunday school and was a teacher in Sunday school for 16 years. He was president of the Geneva Telephone Company for several years a member of Geneva township park board; a director of the Grange Insurance Company; a director of the county farm board; a director of the city library; a member of the board of education. He had been county sealer of weights and measures for 16 years. Mr. Austin is survived by his widow, to whom he was married in December 24, 1874 and daughter Mrs. Bertha Williams of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at the home Monday at 2:30 PM. They will be conducted by Reverend Frank Alkire, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, assisted by Reverend Marston of Cleveland, a former pastor of the church. Austin, John B. In Fishkill, N. Y. bornin 1775 married in 1794 to Margaret Morse of Fishkill, N. Y. Children: Horace, Lester, Joseph, Sanford, Marie, Salley. The family removed to Harpersfieid, Ohio now Geneva in 1810, settling on the banks of Lake Erie. ... Horace had three boys; John A, David, Lester, and Issac Eno. ... David Lester had two children, Milo A and Hattie P. ... Milo A. Austin the son of David Austin was married December 24, 1874 to Fannie A. Butler to these one daughter. Was born, Bertha D. She was married to Roy A. Fuller in 1906. Roy died in 1908, leaving no children. She married again James P. Williams and at this time is living in Cleveland, Ohio."
