Millicent May Ball was born on 28th February 1904 at Plymouth in Devon, daughter of Ellen Sarah Ball, formerly Harry, and her husband William Henry Ball, a dock labourer. She appears in the 1911 census living with her parents and siblings at 26 William Street.

Millicent married Alfred Whitton in 1929. They do not appear to have had any children.

Millicent died in 1992 in the Bath district, aged 88.
