Obit for Mildred "Dolly" Thompson Elledge

CHAMPION - Mildred M. Dolly Elledge, 84, Champion, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 <sic>, at Lake Vista Retirement Community, Cortland.
She was born March 6, 1925, in North Lima, the daughter of Harry B. and Lela Wright Thompson, and had lived in Mahoning and Trumbull counties all her life.
A graduate of Champion High School, Mrs. Elledge and her husband, Roy, owned the Champion Dairy Queen and Champion Service.
She was a member of Champion Christian Church and its Ladies Aid, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Model A Club, and also enjoyed dominos, cards and bowling.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Terry (Nancy) Elledge of Valley Village, Calif.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha (Charlie) Monus and Lela (Bob) Bishop, all of Champion; two nieces, Robin (Roger) Prior of Kinsman and Dawn (Gene) Astorino of Raleigh, N.C.; three great-nieces, Taylor Sherman, and Ally and Carli Astorino; a great-nephew, Joshua Sherman; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Roy W. Elledge, whom she married June 9, 1945, and who died Aug. 2, 2009; two sisters, Eileen Thompson and Elizabeth June Warren, and a brother, Harry E. Thompson.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Champion Christian Church, with the Rev. Ken Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Champion Township Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
