Mildred Mock was reared from age 16 by a Sidebottom family. Her caretaker at death was Rose Lichty, who received all of Millie's resources. Rose Lichty provided information of Millie's death certificate. Millie was in a Chula Vista facility, but finally resided at Euclid Convalescent Home in Lemon Grove, CA. Charlotte Vassat (then Runnels) helped with some finances for her (see letter from Charlotte of June 1, 1983 to Betty Braught (Mrs. Ralph Braught). Ralph Braught said that Millie had a leg amputated about 1978. Burial at Ft.Rosecrans Natl Cem. Gene A. Braught related that a Helen Johnson, special education school teacher in the late 60's at Wichita , KS was a maternal blood cousin to Millie, probably about 66 yr. of age in 1988. Roland and Millie had no other marriages and no children. In her death certificate, Rose Lichty was listed as conservator, 4668 Pomona Ave., LaMesa, CA 92041. She listed as unknown most of Millie's past data (parents, etc.). I wrote to Ms. Lichty, but received no reply (no return, so she received it). I chose not to pursue her for possible family photos, etc. left by Millie when Charlotte advised that Ms. Lichty intended to retain any assets and was defensive about our family contacting her. Her Social Security data #485-22-3125 gives Millie's birth date as 3 Jul 1902 and last residence zip as 92041. Rollie and Millie were always caring people, as indicated by caring for his parents in their home for several years in their later life. CA Deaths 1940-97 in Ancestry.com gives her birth date at 1 Jul 1903 in Iowa. without a mother maiden name, but shows Millie's middle initial as E.
