SHUPP.--Michael Shupp, father of Rev. N. Shupp, of the Ohio Conference, was born in Dauphin Co., Pa., and died in peace in Crawford Co., O., May 17, 1882, aged 72y., 9 m., and 23 d. He was the father of 5 sons and 9 daughters, two of whom and his faithful companion preceded him to the the spirit world. Over 48 years ago he gave his heart to God and his name to the Ev. Association, becoming the second member of the Church of said county. Much of this time he served the Church in prominent relations. He was a living epistle, known and read by all.
