Michael Cline [Parents] was born in 1790 in NC. He died in 1860 in Zack's Branch,Tug Fork,McDowell Co,WV. He married Margaret Bailey about 1810 in VA.

M i Michael Cline Jr was born in 1813. He was buried about 1878. - Peter Cline Family of the Tug River Region of VA/WV/KY Excerpt:
"2. MICHAEL2 CLINE (PETER1) was born Abt. 1778 in Virginia, and died 1860 in McDowell County, Virginia. He "married" (1) MARGARET "PEGGY" _________ abt 1795. He "married" (2) NANCY ELSWICK CLEVINGER abt. 1812. He "married" (3) ELEANOR JOHNSON abt. 1820. (Note - no marriage record for any of these marriages survives. From the evidence, it appears that Michael established a common law marriage with Nancy Elswick Clevinger and possibly Margaret "Peggy" _____. Michael Cline and Eleanor Johnson were not married, as William Cline was born illegitimate). Michael died between 1860-70 and is reportedly buried at Zach's Branch, McDowell County, West Virginia.
Note - In 1941, an early Cline researcher, Toney Cline, took statements from David Cline, a great grandson of Michael Cline, who provided that Michael Cline had seven wives and twenty-one children. While the exact number of wives and children is probably not accurate and most likely exaggerated, what is important for William Cline Johnson researchers is Michael's posthumous reputation for having had many relationships that resulted in many children."
