    Ed Zinn was the son of Merritt Zinn, Jr., and Martha Jane (Forbes) Zinn. He married Pearl Olivia Wilson in 1904. They had one daughter, Mattye Pearl Zinn.

    On March 26, 1921, he and Evelyn Marie Crumrine were married at Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas. Ed and Evelyn had two sons, Junior and Ronald, known as "Bud."
