Mr. Melvin Hilton COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS — Mr. Melvin Hilton, 72, of Copperas Cove, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, in Copperas Cove.

A native of Burlington, he was the husband of the late Emma Lee Sutton Hilton. He was a former employee of Burlington Industries and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.. Leanne Starkovich of Kempner, Texas; two sisters, Mrs.. Ann Ingle of Gibsonville and Mrs.. Georgia Mann of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. Jerry Hilton and Mr. Jimmy Hilton, both of Burlington; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Steve Loy of Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in Friendship United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
