Mrs. Melissa Stuart, aged 84Y, wife of James B. Stuart of New Castle, RD2, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle McAllen, 126 North Beaver St this morning at 9:20 AM after a long illness.

Mrs. Stuart was born at Clearfield, PA on 15 Jan 1852, daughter of Samuel and Lucy Melker Ambrose. New Castle and vicinity had been her home for the past 44 years and she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She leaves her husband to whom she had been married for 59 years, the following sons and daughters, SJ Stuart, George O Stuart, Mrs. Eva Harkless, Mrs Myrtle McAllen, Mrs Edna Newberry, and Mrs Effie McAllen, all of New Castle, and Robert Stuart of Warren, OH. There are 31 grandchildren, and 26 gr-grandchildren. The body will be at the home of her daughter on North Beaver St where friends may call until the funeral.

Funeral services are to be conducted in the Nazarene Church, Sat afternoon at 2 PM with the pastor FC Lehman in charge, assisted by Rev HL Johnson pastor of Simpson ME Church. Interment will be made in Graceland Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. James B. Stuart who died at home of her daughter Mrs. Myrtle McAllen were conducted in the Nazarene Church on Sat at 2 PM. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs Margaret Walls, Mrs Georgianna Graham, Mrs Hattie Anderson, Mrs Sarah Downey, Mrs Alice Wilcox, and Mrs Pearl kelley. Active pallbearers were Archie Stewart, Lawrence McAllen, James Cameron, Richard Cameron, Lewis Dewberry, and Ellsworth Dewberry. Interment was made in Graceland Cemetery.
