Mattie Mae married William Lovett at age 15. At the time of the 1930 Census they were living on Railroad Street or South Street (or perhaps in between because the census taker seems to have them in neither but has two families squeezed in without identification) in Meridian, Lauderdale, Mississippi. They had both Robert Cecil and Francis Marie at that time living with them in a home that they paid $8 a month to rent. William worked as a laborer on the steam railroad. pel 8/1/2003
