Edward C. "Ed" Larkin Edward C. “Ed” Larkin, 75, of London, died at 1:52 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007. Born April 27, 1932, in Brunswick, Tennessee, he was a son of William Carroll and Mattie Mae (Johnson) Larkin. Ed started his employment at the former Williams Co. in London in 1955 and retired from there as a production manager for the Dial Corp. after 37 years of service. He was presently employed by Krazy Glue/MR/DD in West Jefferson as a quality assurance supervisor. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post no. 105 in London. Ed attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a member of the Madison County Coon Hunters Association. Always interested in helping children or doing for others, he was a lifetime member of the London Area Baseball Council. Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Doris E. (McClaskie) Larkin; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Janet Larkin of Columbus; grandchildren, Wesley, Tyler, Aja, Sydney, and Ryan Larkin, all of Columbus; a sister, Dorothy (Everett) Kenny of Sacramento, California; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Austin Larkin. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Pastor William Crowe will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kirkwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, and from 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.
