He married Jean "Jane" Sloan on the 08 June 1797, Blount Co. TN.; Jean 'Jane' Sloan was b. 15 March 1768, PA. ? NC. ?; d. 01 January 1835, Blount Co.     Will E. Parham papers are kept at the Blount County Library Reference Section. Parham was a professional genealogist in the late 1800s and early 1900s. There is a card file by last name. Loose leaf by family name. There are also family files from other people who have added information. Notes on William Finley m. Jean Kennedy and daughter Mary 'Polly' Finley m. Davy Crockett. Will E. Parham papers also mention William Finley's daughter Ann married John Caldwell who was a brother to the Mary Caldwell who married John Finley. John Finley, son of William, and brother of this Ann, names nephew John Caldwell as one of his executors. This would be a son of sister Ann and her husband, John Caldwell.
