- Matthew Gibbs1615 - Bef 1697
Facts and Events
Mathew was a deponent in a Middlesex Co., Massachusetts case in 1673 where he stated that he was 58 years of age, so Mathew was born about 1615.[3]
Because he apparently named Sudbury land he received in 1659 and 1670 "Lanham", it has been believed he was from Lenham, Kent, England, but apparently there are no Lenham/Lanham records that name him.[4]
- Seeking source for claimed parents William Gibbs and Jane Turney.
Matthew Gibbs married Mary Bradish (daughter of Robert) by 1652 when she was admitted to the Charlestown Church.[5]
