    "HARTFORD, November 14.

On Friday last departed this Life, after a short and most distressing illness, Mrs. MARY WYLLYS, the virtuous Consort of Col. GEORGE WYLLYS, of this Town. Educated by parents eminent for Piety, she early imbibed Sentiments of Virtue and Benevolence, which rendered her amiable in all the Connections of Life, and dear to the whole Circle of her Acquaintance. Divine Providence placed her in Affluence, that she might have the Means of gratifying all the wishes, of a tender, compassionate and sympathetic Heart. Her friends were happy in her Acquaintance, and safe in her Council --- The Heart of her Husband did safely trust in her, he acknowledged her the richest Gift, that Heaven had ever conferred on him --- Her Children arose up in her Presence & called her blessed --- Her Servants were happy under her humane Government --- and the Poor almost adored her charitable Soul. At the Age of 59, the holy and wise Providence of GOD called her to receive the Reward of the Faithful, and reduced all her Friends to a State of the deepest Affliction."
