Disputed Parentage

Some researchers have claimed that Mary was a daughter of William Britt (1753-1826) and Jemima Haiden, who were married 16 June 1794 in Amherst County, VA, but since Mary was born abt. 1780, this would not have been possible. She could have been a daughter of William Britt from a prior marriage, but additional research is needed to prove any relationship between the two.
